You can also enjoy swimming in the lake, riding horses, or collecting mushrooms in the forests and the fields.
Montcortès it’s located ten minutes from the Vall Fosca. Where you can find also some lovely villages, and if you want to enjoy walking you can go to visit the different lakes and some of the highest mountains of the Pyrennes.
In Pobleta de Bellveí, La Plana de Montros, Senterada, Peramea and Gerri de la Sal, our nearest neighbours you can find restaurants, bars, chemist, and other usefull shops.
Other interesting places to visit are: the old place to make salt, in Gerri de la Sal and also the Monestir de Santa Maria, the medieval village of Peramea, some romanic churches in Corstcastell, Baén, Buseu, Espluga and Solduga and if you want to visit still more romanic architecture you can go to the Vall de Boí.
If you love the mountains or the adventure sports, you are also in the perfect place to walk, to climb in the Congost the Collegats, to practice rafting, to ride bike, to ski in the different ski stations ( Boí i Taüll, Espot esquí, Portaïne...).
